Simple pencil therapy.

Want to see how effective this simple form of therapy could be for you? Okay, find a blank piece of paper and a pencil, it does not matter about the colour for this little exercise. Now on the paper draw a shape, a rough square will do, not too big but not small either. When you have your shape or square draw a smaller shape inside, how about a triangle this time. Okay now you have done that shade the space between the inside of your larger shape and the outside of your smaller shape remembering to keep within the lines. The point of this little exercise is to see the effect concentrating on not going over the lines with your pencil has had on you. Did you find yourself immersed for a moment . Too easy then experiment with different more complicated shapes and sizes. If you are still persevering then it must mean it has piqued your interest and so pencil therapy could be for you and you should take it to the next level.

I want to do pencil therapy.

If you are still reading to this point it means one of two things, pencil therapy appeals to you or you are just an avid reader. I am hoping for the former. If you found that while you were shading your shapes it helped to occupy your mind in a positive way, then I would like to make a suggestion. Try one of the free colouring in pictures available on the withinthelines.co.uk website. You can choose to colour in a pattern or there are other themes available like landscape colouring or seascape. If you are a fan of dance then try one of the dance colouring pictures, if you are an animal lover we have pictures of animals for colouring, maybe you are a fan of nature and would like to find the power of colouring in flowers you can find some to try for free on the site.

Colouring in as a therapy or pleasure.

Many adults today have discovered the benefits of colouring in and get a lot of pleasure from doing something that they believed was just a childhood pastime. And that is the thing about colouring in adults can do it not because they feel like they need to do it as a form of therapy but because they can do it to get pleasure from it. Who ever you are, what ever the reason you want to take up colouring in, it is a great inexpensive pastime and best of all you do not need to be artistic to do it.
We look forward to you joining us.
